By golly I love Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise has been my favourite actor since I first saw him in A Few Good Men years and years ago. There's just something about him. The dude can do drama, comedy, and especially action. Since I love TC AND action movies, of course I am a big fan of the Mission: Impossible series. So, I thought it would be cool to take a quick look at the new trailer for the 6th installment, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, which had its first trailer drop during the Super Bowl.

First off, we don't get too much plot-wise, but from what I can gather, Fallout will wrap up the story that begun in M:I4. Ethan Hunt and the IMF team will have to deal with the, ahem, fallout of their escapades across the world. 4, 5 and now 6 have sort of been their own trilogy within the larger series, and I think that by the end of this one, we could see a completed arc to Ethan's character.

Which brings me to my next big point: I think M:I6 will be the swan song for Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt. It seemed they were grooming Jeremy Renner to take over in Ghost Protocol, but the success of that and Rogue Nation have kept Ethan Hunt in the lead. I suspect that Henry Cavill and his sweet mustache may take over the team at the end of this flick, setting up future Mission films without Cruise. The dude is still excellent, but he's getting older and can't do this forever.

In my favourite clip from the trailer, Ethan rock climbs again! The rock climbing scene at the beginning of M:I2 is so out of place and against character, yet so damn cool that I quietly popped at Hunt free climbing one more time.

I am super excited for Mission: Impossible - Fallout and I can't wait to see what crazy big stunt Cruise pulls off this time around. Are you excited for M:I6? Let me know in the comments below!
